Cookies Policy
Last updated: August 2026
This policy explains how XBRTags B.V. uses cookies and similar technologies on this website, what each category does, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. It lets the site remember things between pages and visits - your language choice, for example. Similar technologies such as local storage and pixels work in comparable ways, and this policy covers those too.
Your consent
Under the Dutch Telecommunications Act (Telecommunicatiewet) and the GDPR (AVG), strictly necessary cookies may be set without consent. Analytics, functional and marketing cookies are only placed once you have given consent, and you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting your use of the site.
Categories we use
Strictly necessary
Always activeRequired for the site to function - page security, load balancing, and remembering your language selection between English and Dutch. These cannot be switched off and set no marketing identifiers.
Functional
Consent requiredRemember choices you make so you do not have to repeat them - for instance retaining answers you have given in the scope checker, or details part-entered into a quote form.
Analytics
Consent requiredHelp us understand which pages are read and where visitors struggle, so we can improve the guidance we publish. Reporting is aggregated, and we configure analytics to minimise the personal data collected.
Marketing
Consent requiredUsed to measure whether a campaign led to a quote request. We do not sell your data, and we do not use cookies to build advertising profiles of individual visitors.
Typical retention
Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by providers acting on our behalf, such as our analytics platform and hosting infrastructure. Where a provider processes personal data for us, a data processing agreement is in place and processing takes place within the EU or under an approved transfer mechanism. Client documents sent to us for tagging are never processed through website analytics.
Managing your preferences
You can change or withdraw consent at any time through the cookie settings on this site. You can also control cookies in your browser - every major browser lets you view, block or delete them, and offers a private browsing mode that clears them when you close the window.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working properly, including the language toggle. Blocking analytics, functional or marketing cookies has no effect on the pages you can read or the services you can request.
Do Not Track
There is no single agreed standard for how websites should respond to Do Not Track signals. We rely instead on the consent choices you make here, which apply regardless of the signal your browser sends.
Your rights
Where cookies process personal data, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection under the GDPR. Our Privacy Policy explains how to exercise them. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the cookies we use change or when the law requires it. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and material changes will be reflected in the consent options presented to you.
