Terms of Use

Last updated: August 2026

These terms govern your use of the XBRTags Netherlands website and, where an engagement is agreed, the provision of our XBRL and iXBRL tagging services. By using this website or engaging XBRTags, you accept these terms.

This page is a general summary for website visitors. The binding terms for any paid engagement are those set out in the written quotation and engagement letter agreed between us. Where the two differ, the engagement letter prevails.

1. About us

XBRTags B.V. ("XBRTags", "we", "us") is a company registered in the Netherlands, with its registered office at Rietbaan 2, 2908 LP Capelle aan den IJssel. You can reach us at hello@xbrtags.nl or +31 (10) 8906661.

2. Use of this website

You may browse this website and download material for your own reference. You may not republish, sell or systematically extract content from it, misuse it in any way that damages its availability, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it or the systems behind it.

3. Information on this site is not advice

The regulatory information published here - filing deadlines, taxonomy versions, entity size classes, format requirements - is provided for general guidance and reflects our understanding at the time of writing. Requirements set by the Belastingdienst, KVK, AFM and ESMA change over time. Nothing on this site constitutes legal, tax, accounting or audit advice, and you should not act on it without confirming your own position with your adviser.

4. Scope of our services

XBRTags provides XBRL and iXBRL tagging and preparation services. Where agreed in writing, we may also submit a filing on your behalf. Each engagement is defined by an accepted written quotation setting out the scope, deliverables, delivery date and fixed price.

We are not your accountant, auditor or tax adviser. We do not prepare, audit, review or opine on your financial statements, and we do not verify the accuracy of the underlying figures. Our work concerns the structured-data representation of the report you provide.

5. Your responsibilities

•Providing complete, final and accurate financial statements, and telling us promptly of any change to them.
•Confirming your entity size class, reporting framework and applicable filing regime where we ask you to.
•Reviewing and approving the tagged output before it is filed. Approval is yours to give, and the filed report remains your report.
•Meeting your own statutory deadlines, and giving us enough time to work within them.
•Holding the rights necessary to share with us any material you send.

6. Quotations, fees and payment

Quotations are based on the scope of the report you send us and are valid for the period stated in them. Once you accept a quotation, that price is fixed for the agreed scope and revisions are unlimited within it. If you materially change the underlying report - for example by adding an entity or restating a prior year - we will agree any adjustment with you in writing before continuing. Invoices are payable on the terms stated in the engagement letter.

7. Delivery and acceptance

We validate every file against the applicable rule set before delivery and work with you through to an accepted filing. We cannot, however, guarantee the decisions or processing times of the Belastingdienst, KVK, AFM or Digipoort, nor outcomes that depend on information outside our control.

8. Confidentiality and data protection

Material you send us is treated as confidential and used only to perform the engagement. Personal data is handled in line with the GDPR (AVG) and our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

9. Intellectual property

You retain all rights in the financial statements and other material you provide, and in the tagged deliverables once our fees are paid. The content, design and branding of this website remain the property of XBRTags or its licensors. Taxonomies published by KVK, the Belastingdienst, ESMA and the IFRS Foundation remain the property of their respective owners.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to that, our total liability arising from an engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or penalties arising from information you supplied or from deadlines missed for reasons outside our control.

11. Third-party links

This site links to regulator and industry websites for reference. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or availability.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published here at the time you use the site or accept a quotation is the version that applies, and the date above shows when it last changed.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by Dutch law, and the courts of the Netherlands have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

14. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent to hello@xbrtags.nl, or to XBRTags B.V., Rietbaan 2, 2908 LP Capelle aan den IJssel, The Netherlands.
